chick-fil-a

you heard the pathetic controversy on the news?

after i told mr. schroeder all about it,
this is how he reacted:

i am so sneaky.

i think people are dumb.
this whole thing is sort of a joke.

people should be allowed to express their opinion.

as far as i am concerned,
the president of chick fil a
never went 'against his mission statement.'
he never discriminated.
he just talked of his belief in marriage & what it should consist of.
i don't ever recall him saying,
"i hate homosexuals."

whatever.
i still love chick fil a.
so there.

  2. So dumb. Forreals... I mean how unexpected is it really that an outright Christian and Bible-based, conservative CEO (I MEAN THEY ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAYS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!) wouldn't support homosexual marriage? I mean seriously? How is that unexpected?

And can I also ask why those who beg and plead for tolerance and acceptance can't simply accept someone who has a differing OPINION? I mean c'mon.

I'm sorry. I just think this is absolutely ridiculous.

My college campus' LBGT club is trying to protest to have Chick-fil-a taken off campus...

    The better not.

Or I will be... quite frankly: pissed beyond all comprehension.

    That is all.

  4. I completely agree. I work at Chick-Fil-A and I think the entire thing has been blown extremely out of proportion. It’s so hard to maintain the balance between tolerance and standing up for beliefs. But seriously, if someone wants a chicken sandwich we’re gonna sell it to them!

  6. so, i feel like homosexuals preach tolerance of them... why can't they be tolerant of us? why can't we have our opinions, too, without being called a 'biggot' or something silly. i don't think homosexuality is right, but i am not going to be mean or rude to you for being homosexual. everybody, EVERYBODY falls short of the glory of God.

anyways, go chick-fil-a & go freedom of speech!

  9. It's not just a matter of her expressing her opinion, the company gives money to anti-gay-marriage organizations. And, you're right, she does have the right to express her opinion, just like I have the right to not patronize Chick-fil-a, the company she owns, because of her opinion, and where she puts her company's money. Freedom of speech/expression goes both ways - we're all entitled to it.

    1. Thank you, Liz, for understanding the difference between free speech and using corporate profits to support documented hate groups. Not just organizations that are against gay marriage (or, as I like to call it, marriage), but organizations that seek to oppress and advocate killing homosexuals. I wish people would wake up and realize that it ISN'T about free speech, but it IS about treating homosexuals as second-class citizens with fewer rights (in MANY areas, not just marriage).

    2. I don't recall them giving money to groups advocating killing homosexuals. I have never heard that. However, if it's on there, okay. I haven't done too much research. I love Chick Fil A. I do. And this is what I think: God loves everyone. Gay or not. I don't hate gays. Nor do I think it's right to "kill them." However, I do believe in traditional marriage between a man and a woman. That's it.
