retiring

have you ever set someone up?
did it work?

i have probably set up friends over 20 times.
and it hasn't worked yet.
then i get pulled into the drama.
i get blamed.
then it's awkward forever.

i have flippin shweet friends.
except i don't know how they are going to be like
to be 'in a relationship' with them.

i am super sorry single ladies and gents.
but i am retiring from these
failed attempts of mine.

after all..
i like happy folks.
happy rainbows, unicorns, and endless dreamy stuff.
so i don't like to hear that it didn't work out.

  1. Lol My hubby and I (more his idea than mine) recently set up a couple of our friends...it went great for a little while and then came to a screeching halt. She, of course, was hurt by it. He wasn't nearly as invested, and then we all end up at the same place at the same time and yeah...THAT was awkward! I didn't like the feeling at all of any of it and don't know that I'll ever try it again!

  2. hhaha the picture at the end of this post is incredible.

I've tried to set up many of my friends as well.... never seems to go quite as planned, and then, like you said, there's drama... and no one wants that.

  3. Seriously, it never works for me either. But it's like an addiction I can't kick :(

  4. One of my really good friends made me go with her to her fiance's company party, so she kind of technically set us up! I was going to say "don't give up"...but then, the DRAMA. So awful. I don't blame you.

  5. Love the end photo.. you are great! I set up two of my good friends from church and it went well for a really really long time until this past April. Luckily they forgot it was me who set them up c:

  6. Unfortunately I have set up quite a few people. So far two couples are still dating and one is married. So now everyone thinks I have a secret intuition to find people's soul mates. It is tiring and stressful. I wish I could retire!
