poof

i rewrote this post.
because i decided that mean people aren't worth the attention.
  i posses a new philosophy.
when mean people are mean to you,
text them, or even call them, or say it to their face:
say, "poof."

and then don't say anything. ever again. that's it.
there are quite a few definitions for poof.

poof: go away.
poof: i don't want to argue with you; go away.
poof: you were never nice to me & i don't really want to talk to you.
poof: i am better than this. and you bring me down. poof. go away.

i am laughing. really hard.
because this philosophy of mine seriously works.
it does.
why?
because you aren't flat out saying mean things.
it's a head thing.
you say poof, and you're done.
the other person is a bit confused,
but you don't have to walk away thinking,
"i said something mean back to the mean person."
okay. i am tired. can you tell?
poof it out, peeps. i want to hear all about it.

  3. bahahaha i can't imagine someones reaction if you were to do this in their face. like "what the heck just happened?? poof??" oh this is great. i've gotten into a "shrug" thing lately. like "meh. just don't care." i guess it's my form of "poof"?

  5. hahahaha you crack me up. do you ever watch the jenna marbles youtube videos? she curses a lot, but her video called "how to avoid talking to people" uses a very similar tactic [aka the face] and i can 100% say it works. people don't even know what to do with themselves, and it gives you a very strange satisfaction. i'm so trying the poof thing now!

  6. I absolutely love this. And I'll definitely be using it.
Even if they give me dazed, confused looks. I'll just walk away.
    Win.

    Hope you're having a great week. (:

  7. I love this! I just recently stumbled upon your blog and I'm so excited to "follow you". A few of your older posts were EXACTLY what I needed to hear today! I'm so grateful to have found this blog (in perfect timing) and that you have similar beliefs as I do.

I have been extremely sick for 4 1/2 years, and basically bed bound. Of course people have been supportive through hospital stays, treatment and surgeries. However, there are some people who just like to be mean. Why people choose to be awful, especially to those who are going through tough times...beats me! But I've had so many moments where I feel like you do, and just wish I could POOF them out of my life.

I've written blog post or two about the rudeness of others towards me as I struggle with my health! I'm excited to be an avid reader/follower of your blog! Keep up the awesome posts!
