  1. When I realized Nike's wouldn't cut it for a "real" running shoe I turned to Mizunos and never turned back :) Check out the Mizuno Wave Creation... when they're on I feel like I am running on clouds lol. Every foot/ runner is different but I swear by those!

  3. So my sister in law was telling me theres a few running stores around Utah where you get on a treadmill and run and they watch you and tell you what shoe is best for you. You should try it!

  4. Have you looked into the Vibram Fivefinger shoes? I bought some two years ago and they're still going strong. They take a bit to get used to, but they are supposed to be better for your body. My knees and hips used to bother me when I ran but when I run in my Vibrams I can't feel a darn thing. They are kinda goofy looking, but they are super comfortable and they don't have to be replaced like regular running shoes.

As far as a tennis shoe goes, I've been really happy with asics in the past. Definitely not as cute as Nikes, but much much better for your feet. Happy Running =)

  6. Check out Big 5. They have sales periodically and you could find a deal on Nike shoes. I can find shoes for $20 on sale. It's the only place I buy running shoes anymore.

  8. I have Nike right now and I'm actually in love with them :) But I've had them before and not liked them. Feet go through fazes! I like Brooks as well!

  9. i like asics, i think new balance shoes are wide, so maybe that's why you don't like them - i've never been a fan either.

    These are super cute!

  10. I desperately need new running shoes, too--I did all my marathon training in them (and actually ran the race in them), so mine have about 1,000 miles as well. Mine are Nike (so at least one good thing about Nike--they last forever!), but they didn't provide the best cushioning for my feet. My husband bought some K Swiss shoes that he likes--they're really light, and have a really different design. You could check those out.

  11. My brother in law works at Nike and he was telling me about these shoes recently. I think you'll like them, but I haven't personally tried them yet. PLus, they are cute...so that's a bonus, right? :) haha
I hate new balance too. ha

  13. My absolute favorite pair of running shoes have been Saucony. I ran with them for years, until they literally fell apart! I would highly recommend.

  14. I have the Nike Free's and love them now. I had big problems with them when I first got them. Major blisters and achy feet. They aren't the best running shoes, but I bet if you got the 5.0's then you may have a better chance. I have the 4.0's and am planning on switching to the 5.0's pretty soon. They have a better sole to them and give more support. I've only tried Nike's so hope this helps.

I agree, they are so cute! That's mostly why I got them :-)

  15. My running shoes are Mizuno and I really like them! I went to a running store and they watched me run and helped me pick shoes based on my form- I would really recommend that:-)

  16. Love those NIKE's! I think next time I'm going to get NIKE's, but I don't do a ton of running. Right now I have Saucony, but I loved my Mizuno's too. Happy shopping!

  17. I have Nike's and I am in love with them. I was using Asics and I did not like them at all. Good luck!

  18. I love Brooks pure cadence and I've also heard the Brooks pure flows are amazing!!! I ran my first marathon in Nikes and they were ok, and my second marathon and 1/2 marathon in the Brooks and they were AMAZING!!!! They feel like you're running on pillows and really support your feet, but just make sure that you let yourself warm up to them so they are well worn before a race because they can change the way you run or give you blisters if you're not careful!!! :)

  20. I'm new to the blog... and ohhhhh my those shoes are SO cute.
I have no advice though because I'm what you might call the worlds WORST runner ever.
    So yah. No help there.

I am ready to better my life - so I am thinking I need to get on this challenge also!

I'm going to do some thinking about things I want to do better with in my life. Great idea :)

I hope I am not too late. If you ever need any other running advice, lemme know! I would be more than willing to help you out in anyway I can!!
