the religion. the forgiveness. the atonement.

i went to a fireside where a man named chris williams talked. he's an amazing man. i really really enjoyed it. this is his story:

i can watch that video 1,000+ times. this is one of the many things i love about my religion. we all screw up. everyone does. & nobody is perfect. but on our roads to perfecting our weaknesses,  we can be completely forgiven. and start new every day. i love it. so much.

i also couldn't help but think of all the people i have had to forgive..or even asked for forgiveness from. i'm really grateful that god blessed me with the ability to quickly forgive. yes, i may cling onto things a teensy bit longer than i should, but i'm working on it. & i have truly forgiven everybody in my life who has wronged me in one way or another..even if they're not sorry. my religion is amazing. the atonement is amazing. i could go on and on and on about forgiveness. it frees you. it doesn't drag you down. it is very unexplainable to describe.  i'm so grateful i can start new every day. because oh deary deary gravy,
i would be flawed. and that's it. just flawed.

  8. I love this! Every single thing about it. Also, have you read his book?! I only made it through part of it before my mom suggested I read it at a later time. (I started it the day after my cousin passed away) But, it is good!!! Such an inspiring story.
