bear lake has always held a special place in my heart. growing up, that's where we would always go boating. it's super cute because it's always been my parents dream to build a house up there. and, well, it's built! the inside is coming along & it's crazy to think that after all these years, they really are doing it. so this past memorial weekend, mr. schroeder & i went up with my parents and we got to take a look at the lakehouse, relax, and went on the boat for a bit. for some reason, i've found myself having a hard time relaxing. i always feel like i need to be doing something. so this weekend, looking out toward the whole lake, i relaxed. and it was wonderful.
one of my favorite things we did was take a ride in the razr through the mountains. we went all the way to the top & had a picnic. the weather was perfect!
we also got to stop in preston & logan where my grandparents are buried. it was interesting to hear of all the relations we had with every person in the graveyard. it's like i was related to the whole cemetery. i wish i had sunglasses because i couldn't help the tears when i saw my grandma joan's grave. she passed away when i was young, but we had a special bond. and we still do. i can't wait to be with her again. that day will be extraordinary.
