I think it’s safe to say that I am completely and utterly amazed at what the Lord has blessed me with. Throughout the past 19 months, I have struggled immensely. I have gone through every emotion of heartache, anger, confusion, and ultimate sadness. I remember a few times, praying to God with all that I had to just heal me, to help me along this journey and make it somewhat bearable. And then I met my doctor, who changed my life forever. When Mr. Schroeder, or myself, conquer something that had a major impact on our lives, I think it calls for a good celebrating and that is for certain. This past weekend, I surprised Trevor with dinner at Ruth’s Chris and a night spent at the Little America hotel in Salt Lake City. It’s one of these random moments that suddenly mean a lot to me. So I thought it would be a good idea to get away and enjoy each other’s company.
On a side note, we ordered calamari for a side at Ruth’s Chris. And if you’re not aware, calamari is fried squid. And there were little squids all over our plate. I have never seen it look like that but I was in complete awe and completely grossed out. I skipped around those little guys.
I thought it was so awesome & silly that the waiter treated us like we were queens and kings. They would call me madame and call Trevor mister. They even called him Mr. Schroeder, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The whole night, we felt on top of the world. And I am so glad I decided to go all out and celebrate conquering some things we truly never thought we would.
