Well, we moved. And it was completely sudden & quick. We found a house we liked and thought, "Hey. Let's just do it." I had to force myself to write out a list of pros and a list of cons and here is what I got.
Our own house
Our own garage
Lots of storage
Can do whatever I want with the place
and much much more
We had some awesome friends & family come help us move in the evening and we got these types of comments:
"You live waaay in the heck out here!"
"How far is this from your work? Are you going to like it living in the boonies?"
But here's the thing. My commute is no longer than it was in my old place. As we were laying in bed the first night, Trevor said, "Babe we're home! And I know it's way in the heck out here, but we're definitely away from the world, away from the craziness, and out here...at our home. I feel a lot more safe this way." In that perspective, I love it. I love our temporary home & that's all that matters. We are directly above the lake and it is absolutely beautiful at night. It's a great neighborhood and I think I'm really going to like it here, even if there is a 30-minute commute. In the mean time, I will be painting painting painting, moving my stuff in, and trying to find a place for everything. It's very true when they say you don't realize how much you have until you have to pack it all up and move it. Oh, and if you're interested in following me on Instagram, do.
