For funny

Lately, Mr. Schroeder and I have really just been settling into our new home. We have been spending lots of time together (I ain’t complaining) and been figuring out what to do with the new house. It’s been fun. But it’s definitely been very busy! I have been thinking lately about how my life is so funny. There are just some funny things that happen, all of the time.

A few weeks ago, I was talking to Trevor about how I needed to go to the store to buy a pregnancy test (which is a common occurrence simply because I don’t take birth control and I am paranoid). Anyways, I was on the phone with him and he said, “You’re driving to Wal Mart to get a pregnancy test? I’m actually really surprised there’s not an iPhone app nowadays that doesn’t have you pee on the iPhone and it give you your answer.” I laughed for like 15 minutes after that. I have a funny husband. And it’s kinda true. Where’s my pregnancy test app, apple?
Mr. Schroeder also hangs things for me. And when they’re in super awkward places that I can’t reach, this is his approach:

Sometimes, I feel like a stalker or an absolutely insane, paranoid, and insecure wife because I do this. And I think Trevor thinks it’s creepy, too. When I’m making dinner, I don’t want to keep calling him and bugging him. “When will you be home babbebeeee? I’m sitting here waiting for youuuu and I want dinner to be hot and ready.” You know, those annoying sentences. Instead, I log onto the Find my iPhone app, log into Trevor’s apple account, and see exactly where he is. Creepy? I know. It really is. But that way, I can know when to start dinner and when to have it ready. I promise I’m not controlling like that.

Lastly, I wasn’t feeling good last week. I was really sick and didn’t feel up to making dinner. I called Mr. Schroeder and asked him to just pick something up, anything. I didn’t care. I suggested maybe pizza or zupas or something. What does he come home with? Steak. Yep. Full-on Steak and potatoes. It was delicious. But super comical simply because who gets steak take-out? I have never done that before.
Lastly, the Halloween section in Wal Mart is our new favorite. We spent way too long trying on masks, laughing, and being rather immature.

  1. Yay for getting to spend lots of time together! You two are just too adorable for words! And, that is hilarious. Seems like there is an app for everything these days. Mr Schroeder has much better balance than I. And the Halloween pictures are too cute. FUN! Wish we lived closer to you guys!

  4. Haha. This sounds really similar to my life with my husband. I have text alerts set up with my bank account. So whenever he uses the debit card, I get a text. I set them up because he never keeps receipts for me. But now I get a text saying he spent money at Taco Bell or something, and I can bug him to bring some home for me. He hates it. haha

  10. Ok I'm loving the find my iPhone app idea!! Why haven't I thought to use that before! When hubs is working random hours he rarely hears his phone ring, so it'd be WAY faster to just check that! You're a genius. I'm really hoping we can meet this month!!

    Much love

I love keeping up with your life. :)
Also. That app would be majorly helpful. Maybe they're working on it...

  12. Seriously why isn't there an app for that? Haha. Tests are so dang expensive! You guys have so much fun together and I love it. I think it's also normal to be a paranoid wife sometimes. Um hello, I log into Doug's Facebook sometimes(it's awkward when I forget I'm on his account and make a comment or like something that he usually wouldn't).

  14. yes, the dollar store pregnancy tests are totally legit. i wouldn't waste my money on them....you'll know when you're pregnant. and if you don't....well, then you suck. haha. maybe you'll be one of those people that doesn't get sick. i know right away though.....and it's no fun. wish you were here to scare my kids with masks in the halloween section. it would surely be fun.
