goin back to school

Though 90% of my friends are about to graduate college, I'm not even close. I blame this on moving like 4-5 times between my college education and realizing that college credits don't transfer most places. Now that Mr. Schroeder and I are pretty much settled here in Utah for a little bit, and my work isn't stopping me, I thought I would start school back up. I'm excited to go back to school and FINISH. I have such high hopes and it has always been a dream of mine. I'm excited to finish because I want to prove certain people wrong. I literally had some family tell me that I wouldn't finish school because I went to college just to get married and dropout. What a DINK. I'm excited to finish because I want a better future for my family. And I'm excited to finish because I know that I will be super proud of myself for making it so far. Therefore, I am going back to school. I started on Monday & it is brutal. But I'm going back. I'm going to finish whether some believe in me or not.

  1. Yay! You can do it! It'll be hard to adjust at first, but you'll get the swing of things in no time!

  2. I am totally in the same boat as you. I have yet to finish school. I used to be really embarrassed to tell people I haven't finished yet, or that I took a break from school when I got married. I used to worry about what people thought of me, and the comments they would say would bring me down. I told myself I was going to finish school to prove those people wrong. But now I don't even care what others think, and I am doing this for me and nobody else! Like the quote from Will Smith goes, "If you are absent in my struggle, don't expect to be present during my success." Good luck with your schooling! Love the post.

  3. Good for you! Don't let your family get you down .. I just recently got married and put off a semester of school to be with husband (before we were married) and I got a lot of grief for it, but now I am graduating! What a great decision ... you can prove them all wrong :)

  5. Everyone is in their own place!!! :) Most of my friends have been completely graduated and onto adult jobs for a couple of years and I'm over here like, "I just got my associates, yahoo!!!" But I got my cosmetology license, worked for two years and figured out what I wanted to do first. I think you're doing great friend! Keep it up!!! :)

  8. Good for you! Doesn't matter when you go back, as long as you do it, and do it for yourself! You're still super young. You have lots of time to get educated, but getting it done now will make it easier. What are you going to do in school?

  13. Oh yay, you can do it and you won't regret it! I had a year off to work and when I went to college it really kicked my butt. I did eventually get into a routine and everything was dandy after that. Once you settle in everything will be better :]
