catching up...

this is my 100th post.
how nuts!

so much has happened
in one week.

i want to thank all the super sweet
e-mails & comments on this post i did last week.
there were countless violence victims who opened up to me.
you are all amazing beautiful women, survivors, and friends.

one of my friends who goes to therapy told me about this book.
it suggests every woman read it.
victim or not.

i have read one chapter and am already addicted.

this book can save your life.
buy here.

anyway..
here are some weekly highlights
& some of my favorite things.

smithsonian museum in dc.

 my new favorite restaurant.
au bon pain. amazing.

 the future romney's place. what?

the three-day drive we just made.
the whole thing was absolutely beautiful.

 trevor's favorite thing. guns galore.

this is the diner trevor and his dad built eight years ago in Fredericksburg.
it was so fun to hear all the crazy stories he had to tell!

a coldstone cake,
an adorable purse,
and the "of monsters and men" album? heaven.

thanks for the birthday wishes, folks!
i got everything i wanted.
and it was awesome to spend a much needed day with my husband.

  2. That is an awesome story about the diner! How cool will it be to take your kids kids there in 75 years and tell it to them :)

Sorry, I'm all sorts of sappy today

  3. What a fun trip! And Au Bon Pain is one of my favorite places too ;) Also, thank you so much for sharing your story in that post! I can only imagine how difficult it was to write it all out. But know that there are so many of us out here who do appreciate it. You're standing up for all women by sharing your story, and that is definitely something to be admired :)
