chicken pillows.

my sister introduced me to these amazing chicken pillows.  then, i lost the recipe she gave me, so i improvised. and ohhh my good golly gravy. these things are amazing. they're easy, delicious, and i'm pretty sure everyone you make them for will love them. so i decided to share the recipe!

ingredients:
1 (8 oz) can of pillsbury crescent rolls (i like the big & flaky ones!)
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 c. butter
2-3 c. cooked & shredded chicken.
1 egg.
2 tbs. water.
10-12 crushed ritz crackers.
1 can of cream of chicken soup.
1/4 c. milk.
2 tbs. sour cream.

preheat oven to 400 F
soften 1/4 c. butter & 8 oz. cream cheese. stir til smooth. add chicken to bowl. mix.
lay your crescent rolls out on a cookie sheet.
place 1-2 spoon fulls of the mixture into the center of the crescent roll.
fold the crescent around the mixture and pinch sides & roll.
in a separate bow, put the egg and 2 tbs. of water in the bowl. mix well.
dip the roll into the mixture.  then dip the roll into the ritz crackers & place back on cookie sheet.
repeat for the rest of the crescent rolls.
cook the rolls at 400 F for 20-25 minutes. every oven cooks differently so be sure to check on them.

now for the sauce! pour the can of cream of chicken & the milk into a sauce pan. stir.

if you want it thicker, add more milk. once it's hot, add your 2 tbs. of sour cream and stir.
pour it on after the chicken pillows are out of the oven.
serve with mashed potatoes & fruit or veggies.
